Re: TS down!

hi guys, you had to pick a reason for the unexpected shutdown. i didn't bother to shutdown the server before the data center installed a new fan (told em to just pull the plug and do what they got to do). just install all (security) updates until windows is happy and reboot the hell out of it. just ...

You are missing priv messages?

Blame ph1l0r! We've been overusing our database quota which led to some tables being locked for writes. I've deleted all priv messages older 2009-12-31 23:59:59. There's a backup, so no need to worry. We really really really should move some old threads to another forum and free up database space fo...

Re: To STEAM or not to steam: BFBC2

nothing beats the convience of steam. just buy it there, have it download and patch the game for you whenever necessary. with all the online logging in and stuff you're screwed already anyways. if it's steam having trouble or ea online servers denying login makes too big difference. what I'm trying ...

Re: We're movin!

didn't start ts3 but did so now. i'd say we either move or stay with ts2. maintaining both doesn't make too much sense imho.

Re: We're movin!

More RAM which GC doesn't really need but hey. More is more :) Server is still down. The web interface triggered os installation doesn't work. Looks like someone will have to do it the old fashioned way with a real cd etc. pp. I'll keep you guys posted.

Re: i5 vs i7

Re: i5 vs i7

Applications making full use of multiple cores are surely coming but right now I'd rather have one core with a lot cache that's fast. than four slow cores sharing their cache between all of them. one of the faster i7 chips sure is one hell of beast but my bet is that buying core 2 duo will be fast e...
