one tip more..maybe it will help you..maybe not :) do you have antivirus resident protection? ..I have nod32 with resident protection ON usually it scans dll or exe files...so when I was starting bf2 it was laggy....now I have manually disabled only bf.exe not to scan in real time...and no lag at al...
