Re: BF4 or BF3 - The poll is back again!
Let's just put up a poll. Biggest problem is that a dual campaign will screw army balancing completely, since different people are going to show up for BF3 and BF4 - lots of admin overhead for everyone - but let's hear the voice of the peeps before declaring it impossible. And when the gun glitch ru...

Re: BF4 or BF3 - The poll is back again!
I really like the idea of contacting VU about us doing a test day. Not sure when that would be exactly, but it would be cool to see if we break their crap or what. Razy, level had the gun glitch enough to add it to their rules at the time. Bf3 hasn't been fixed, so I don't understand why it's going ...

Re: BF4 or BF3 - The poll is back again!
As if you're not looking on BF4 through the same glasses. No he isn't. BF4 also sucks. But BF3 is unplayable . We can't spend community money on servers that we know won't work. If the gun glitch wasn't there, I would go back in a heartbeat, even if only for a swansong campaign. But it is there. No...

Re: BF4 or BF3 - The poll is back again!
TF2 campaign would be a great "lets kill time before BF5" idea. Like, we should really do that between BF4 and BF5. BF3 gun glitch will ruin all of your fond memories of this game. It's not worth it. We even had gun glitch in a 10v10 black ops once. I suspect our global nature breaks somet...

Re: How TO: GC RISK
This is beautiful. Very well done Sloth, very well done indeed! The only improvement would be if you paused when you mentioned the numbers of divisions allowed to attack and had someone with a wildly different voice and accent say the number we're using for a given campaign. Like one of th...

Re: Homeworld Remastered
It's pretty beautiful. Replaying the HW1 campaign now. If you played a lot of HW2 it will feel a lot like a prettier HW2. But I always liked HW1's story, so seeing it rendered in such quality is bringing a tear to my eye. The first few missions when space is black and empty are just awesome. HW2 and...

Homeworld Remastered
Homeworld was my first love. It was everything a game should be. Nothing, not even the sequels, came close.
And now they're re-releasing it with better graphics and updated multiplayer.
Anyone else going to buy it?

Re: GC Netiquette Rules Amended
Bottom line you don't need a rule to ban/sanction a person, neither do you want to maintain a rule book the size of the US constitution for this community. ... which is why we don't have or need a rule book the size of the US constitution. We have a GC Netiquette page on the wiki which is pretty cl...

Re: GC Netiquette Rules Amended
GC is a private community where leadership has decided to try to enforce some basic standards of decorum to ensure openness and a welcoming atmosphere. You can't join a BF community without having elected to play BF, and thus accept BF level violence. You can join a BF community and not want to see ...

Re: GC Netiquette Rules Amended
My take on this is a little different. You show up for your first day of GC. Everyone is talking about strats and your squad is helping you get integrated. You play a few rounds and get hooked and are sitting here two years later. or.. You show up for your first day of GC. Someone links you to a pic...

Re: GC Netiquette Rules Amended
Guys, this is pretty simple. Since forever, GC has been about an open and welcoming environment. Posting porn to the global server chat is precisely the opposite of that. We want our brand identity to be people playing organized battlefield, not people one-upping each other with random potentially o...

Re: Officer Sign Up
Our worst campaigns have been the ones where we tried to save time by skipping processes like this. Ask yourself what you're risking versus what you're gaining. At best, you'd save a few days to a week between campaigns. At worst, you blow the entire campaign because one army is relying on people wh...

Re: Officer Sign Up
Assuming the general interest is to start the campaign as soon as possible and keep downtime between campaigns to a minimum then I suppose streamlining the process matters. Otherwise it doesn't really matter much. This is as streamlined as it gets, unfortunately. People change their minds at random...
