I like the health bar (reminds me of fighting games) and if you take that metaphor all the way it will work fine I think. Each community starts with 70 health, and each time you win you damage the other guy.

Holy crap that screenshot brings back memories. One of my favorite BF2 moments was sitting in that temple/pagoda/whatever while our squad held back waves of enemies until our commander accidentally artied us. The yelling on Teamspeak was hilarious.
