Sound cards are not worth the trouble. Take it back and get a good speakers or a better headset.
You will only be freeing up about 0.5% of your cpu's capacity and you will be using 5-10% more ram. Total wast of money and time.

You can make a key bind to switch channels in TS. Make sure you test them, and you do need to put in the PW. I am currently running Mushkin DDR400 PC3200, which is vey common and has really come down in price. I would think SDRAM would have also.
