I have yet to see any antivirus catch everything once a foothold has been established. Usually getting a 2nd, 3rd and 4th scan will catch additional items.

Check to see if your video card is sharing the same IRQ with any other hardware.
Also, give PCI Latency tool a try. It can help clean up some lag. I've been using it for the last couple years. I set my video card latency to 64.
