how about making the intro longer? I feel it's a bit short atm.

Also, this would give you the freedom to add longer music/sounds, which might be easier to get

When I watch videos on youtube, I hate it when every leetsn1p0r and his brother has a 30sec intro, just to show 5 seconds of gameplay. Thats obviously not the case here, because we are all cool people at GC! But what I want to say is, I like it short. Thats not what she said
Especially when everyone is using this intro it shouldnt be longer than 5 secs, imo.

I'm pretty sure that is what she said.

But agreed, short is better.

I'd be happy with 5secs, I think that 3 is too short though

Actually, terrific idea, if we could make it more static-y and transmission sounding like it's in the middle of a battlefield that wouldn't be too bad :)
I want to give it a try for sure.

I also like the idea, at least it is something that makes GC special.

It's 3 am where I'm at and if Flummi doesn't make one before I do later today, then I'll write out a small tutorial (I only have SVP11.0 and it's like 3 simple steps).

EDIT: Might as well do it right now anyways.
1. Start up Sony Vegas
2. Import your media (all the images)
3. Before placing the images all together in the timeline go to Options->Preferences
4. Go to the Editing tab
5. Where it says "New still image length (seconds):" adjust the number up/down until it says "1 frames at <whatever your set rendering fps is>". For example, mine says "1 frames at 29.970 fps".
6. Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.
7. Select all the images in order from your media window, just Shift+A should do it.
8. Drag and drop into timeline. Now it should play each frame/picture per second, giving you the smooth video altogether.
Also thanks Flummi for the png files because they are much more high quality :D

You should be able to import them as an image sequence in most video editors. I don't know which one you're using so i can't help you with that. Once we got the sound sorted out, there will be a proper video.

About sound, what are we doing? Who's doing it?

Actually, this could be the best sound for an alarm clock ever.

I have no sound editing software so I can't do it, but the idea is to have Robawillis, .Sup, Shrapnel, or one of the usuals who does the best announcement of "THIS IS LIIIIIIVE THIS IS LIIIVE" and then make it so it has a more middle-of-battlefield, static/broken radio transmission, war-tape sound to it, and have that play with the intro.
