I thought it was very good. This is the first time that I have seen a movie about World War II from the German perspective of things. I've seen movies from Japanese perspective, Chinese, American, and Russian, but never German.
It was really sad and felt very real. I also love how the German language sounds. I know that Das Boot and The Lives of Others are very good German movies. Are there any others that I should watch?

Make sure he gets promoted to PFC.
But I also have a sword in my sig too. I should have both ranks of Gladius and Starfisher.. Someone nominate me for ribbons/awards too! From BOTH armies!
If anybody is interested, take a look at "I saw the Devil"
It's a Korean movie that focuses on the concept of revenge. It's violent, dark, and gritty. It's on Netflix too!
Unfortunately, a lot of the movies you guys mentioned aren't really available in the US. I've checked my streaming accounts and my local libraries, including my University, but they don't have most of these.
I did manage to find Das Boot and Central do Brasil so I'll be watching those soon.

This is a very old movie but they are usually better than the newer ones so a Norwegian classic horror.
De dødes tjern (1958) Google Translated to: Lake of The Dead imdb link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051569/
Tjern: it could be translated to lake i guess, but in Norwegian there is a lot more mystery to the word Tjern.
Enjoy its classic.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I totally love Korean scary movies. Even love the sub-titles. My wife doesn't. She thinks the sub titles are too much work. I love the Chinese martial arts flicks as well. Good stuff!
Bollywood is another matter. Too much dancing....too many drama queens......lol.
