Re: Best movie from your country.
Well, when I say "best movie" I meant best movie in your opinion. It's a very subjective term and I'd like to know what you think is the best. Not as a general concensus. Sorry! Should've made that clearer.
Also, how did you watch Cloud Atlas already?? Is it released internationally already? I'm absolutely stoked to watch it.
I got to watch ARGO last night. Was not disappointed.

I think Sushi has got some connections concerning movies . I also want to see Cloud Atlas since the trailer (the 5 min version) has kind of blown me away. But I have to finish the book firstharuky wrote:Also, how did you watch Cloud Atlas already?? Is it released internationally already? I'm absolutely stoked to watch it.
If I were a Frenchman (do we have any French here at GC?) I would recommend you to watch High Tension, Inside, Frontière(s) and Martyrs. These movies will surely leave you with a strange feeling (especially Martyrs).

Albino is right of cause, working in the entertainment business has its preps, including press screenings.
And yes "der Untergang" is also epic.

I like " Das kleine Arschloch " (Cartoon film)
all the german films named so far are good but i miss "Die Blechtrommel" (ww2, but not a shooter).
Germany has some good fun stuff like: Gebaut wird immer.

So Haruky, how did you like the Untergang?
Re: Best movie from your country.
It was difficult to find a film that was definitively Canadian, an its a bilingual film rated English/French which hasn't occured since 1946 until 2006 the film of Bad Cop Bon Cop was released.

The first thing I think of when I think of Canadian films is Scanners. Well, that and Strange Brew which I think of when thinking of anything Canadian.CanShield wrote:It was difficult to find a film that was definitively Canadian, an its a bilingual film rated English/French which hasn't occured since 1946 until the film release of Bad Cop Bon Cop.

I find it a bit undermining to be told what, an American finds to be Canadian.mort wrote:The first thing I think of when I think of Canadian films is Scanners.
