I liked Band of Brothers but I didn't like The Pacific. I hope they can do something similar to BoB.

Well yes, nothing is going to be at the same level as Major Richard Winters (btw his birthday would be in 2 days from now [21])

But I hope they will get the correct and best actors for this, it has to be AT LEAST at the same level as The Pacific.

I thought The Pacific was good, but only after I watched all of it. Not as good as Band of Brothers of course, but that's quite a hard thing to achieve.

I thought The Pacific was good as well, although for obvious reasons it was different from BoB.

Would be interesting to see how this thing turns out. I read the book and its scope is huge. I'm really not sure what they're going to focus on. I doubt it'll be something like 10 episodes of Memphis Belle

Pacific wasnt bad but needless to say I only watched it once while Band of brothers I watched 5 times. Nuff said

it can be good if its about pilots and naval battles with carriers and airstrips and subs and convoys,
but it will never be good as a series about inf in ww2 or iraq!
