World Cup 2014: QUARTERS.

Post by haruky »

Who's watching?

Which country will take it all?

I've got my bets on Brazil or Germany this year. As much as I want the USA and Korea to advance, I just don't see it happening. But hey, you just never know with sports.

I remember cheering for Brazil since I watched them in 1998! Super pumped for the sports world: NHL playoffs and World Cup. GG free time

Croatians played their hearts out and that was a fun game to watch.

It was unfortunate to see that Fred got the penalty for that dive. I want to see Brazil do well, but not like this...

meh

Usually there's 1 time every 4 years I can get excited for the sport, but I can't even do that anymore. I would rather stick a fork in my ear than have to hear the people ESPN generally gets for broadcasting this, who overall are crap. Maybe if I got a BBC feed or something it could be half enjoyable, but over here it just seems like ESPN is trying to force it on us with a bunch of mediocre at best commentators.

Used to be a time when I cared a bit more (like 2006, when GC took a break because of the world cup), but this year I just can't be assed.

things like this make me laugh though

For those that haven't seen the game (...and probably couldn't care less, but it's the internet so there)

It was quite an exaggerated show Fred pulled out there, but technically Lovren did hold him. I doubt any decent referee would've given a penalty shot for that though, but it's part of the game.

Spain-Netherlands should be quite interesting today in terms of players' melodrama.

I have a little bit of interest. Don't know the teams at all. However, from the look and sound of it, I doubt the US will make it out Groups.

Maybe Portugal to take it all.

I never liked that ref on the last World Cup, it seems he didn't get any better. That pen was disgraceful! Oscar played so well though, his best game in a Brazil shirt.

On to some soccer overdose now. I just wish I was in vacation already.
