Missing RISK in GC?

Post by A Docile Sloth »

This is something I started working on back before BF4:C4 started. I did some runs using a program I wrote to simulate a campaign battle to test out the revamped C4 system. The idea was to turn this small program into a game that was the campaign system without the BF4 element. Then I got busy with Uni and stopped working on it. A few weeks ago I picked it back up again after about 4 months. Over the last couple of weeks I've been writing the main campaign part so that you can play it with friends or vs AI or AI vs AI. This video shows a what a year of playing C4 could have looked like as AI vs AI. There's still some issues with the AI reinforcing routine but I thought I'd share anyway.

Because it's about halfway between the two HQs. When one of them is taken, all the divisions on the Caribbean move off.

Pretty cool and accurate simulation Sloth. Blue apparently won on week 5 which is kind of consistent with our latest campaigns :lol:

I think people would've freaked out if they had to play a single campaign for a year.

If only the armies moved the divisions as in the video… we would still be playing c4!

It can actually be a refreshing change from these 3-5 week ones.

C++

Because it's still a bit broken (see the Caribbean and Blue) and there's some other stuff I need to add to make it people friendly.

As it's apparently International Table Top Day, have a download of the current game. Still some edges to smooth off (and need to put stuff behind the "Extras" button) but the game bit works (99% of the time).

Download (3 MB). It's a .zip with a .exe and some .png . Just extract and run form where it is.
