BF2 auto joining server on start up

My roommate just got BF2 and whenever he starts the game and logs in it automatically starts joining a server. Anyone know how to stop this? I dont remember my game joining a server on login

when you installed bf2 it creates 2 shortcuts on the desktop. one ist to start it normaly the other one must be something on english like "play bf2 online now" (i have it in german).
this second one auto-connects you to a fast server.
in the properties menu of the shortcut is an extension "+playNow 1". remove this to start normaly.

this description is correct simply delete icon on desk top that says
play BF2 online now
the one to use simply says Battlefield 2 if not u may need to re install game or go into the game files and copy the icon to desk top

Theres an autojoin box also in the multiplayer menu that I have no idea what it does when checked.
