About Patch v1.4(resolved)

My step-son just installed BF2(again, after playing Joint Ops for a year), and I suggested he come here for some organized battle play. He agreed and we downloaded all the patches and required mods. After installing the v1.4 patch and PoE2 and all the others, BF2 refused to start!

PoE2 would start okay, but no multi-player server update. Single player mode showed all the maps intact (although we didn't try to play them).

I re-installed the Vanilla patch and got the same result.

I even un-installed (while not deleting profile and such), then re-installed BF2, patched it and got the same result!

Ultimately, we un-installed everything, including profile and the others there, and he has now a working version of an outdated BF2.

Does Special forces have to be installed for v1.4 to work? That's how mine is and I had no problem.

Do we need to use incremental patches? And if so, where do you find them?

Did we miss something?

dont matter about special forces not needed but latest patch

is 1.41 available from the download section on GC about 536mb i think

no incremental.

but make sure PB is properly updated.
