EA Download Manager >Flash plugin update (Resolved)

Post by sushi »

My EADownload Manager is asking for the Flash plugin to be updated

Which I did some 10 times by now. It still keeps asking for the update and what is worse it does not open. (I also deinstalled the plugin manually before installing it)

Any ideas, aside of unistalling the EA DlD tool and starting from anew?

:?

Another great reason not to buy EA unless forced. Wonder what else we'll be forced to install in the future AFTER we buy/receive something and it only needs to 'authenticate'. Thats a cross of approaching bait and switch of the package with hidden requirements.

Try Adobe's uninstaller?

Do you have a flashplayer blocker?

Prolly need to yank out the download manager. Might be able to get away with copying the C:\ProgramData folder in case it wants to delete your downloads.

Try rebooting into safe mode and uninstalling the downloader app.

I thought he was having trouble installing a new plugin. Sometimes the old one can't uninstall because it is running.

I just read that he doesnt want to uninstall the dl program. I don't know why....seems to be the easiest and most reliable way of fixing a non-starting program.

But maybe that's just me.
