How To: Get Archive Access
A lot has happened at Global Conflict over the years. Many campaigns have come and gone; lands have been conquered, and foes have been vanquished. In an effort to keep all the forums organized and easy to navigate, old and irrelevant (and blood-stained?) forums are removed from the public view. There is a lot of passion and good memories recorded over time, so it's a pity to simply delete them! Instead, old forums are moved into The Archives.
How Do I Get Access?
For the first time ever, The Archives are freely open to anyone who wants to see them! To gain access, you simply need to join the Archives/Historian usergroup. Follow these easy steps:
- Open your User Control Panel (UCP).
- Click on the "Usergroups" link.
- Click the radio button next to the "Archive / Historian" group (on the right).
- Ensure that "Join Selected" is your choice at the bottom of the list.
- Hit the "Submit" button.
- Press "Yes" to confirm.
Congrats! You can now see The Archives.
Return to the Board Index and The Archives will be visible.
How Do I Hide The Archives?
Done perusing The Archives, and want to hide them from view again? It's easy! Follow these quick little steps:
- Open your User Control Panel (UCP).
- Click on the "Usergroups" link.
- Click the radio button next to the "Archive / Historian" group (on the right).
- Ensure that "Resign Selected" is your choice at the bottom of the list.
- Hit the "Submit" button.
- Press "Yes" to confirm.
How Do I Post In The Archives?
Simple: you don't! The Archives exist purely for historical reference only. No one may post to them! If you feel that there is a forum which needs to be recovered from it's Archive state and returned to full use, please post the request in the relevant forum.
