Actually my fine young and multi talented intern, this was a training excercise and example of poor followup as well. My bad, as I asked someone if they needed help and by the time I got my arse back to this thread, his sig had changed to something else. Now I don't know if he wants my help on the new sig or the old one.

Well, in this case, I would probably say something along the lines of

Oh, sorry (insert name here) I forgot I was going to redo that last sig for you (this is more or less the apology, try not to give excuses like "dishes" because this will make the user feel lower then dishes) But I gotta say I really like that new sig of yours (this is where you try to get back on their good side) If you need help with anything at all, just ask, I'm always here for you buddy (this is where you once again offer them assistance, with out sounding forceful.
