Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
I have the same videocard but I'm still waiting for the game, so I can't tell you (yet) whether I've got problems.
What about this (http://www.nvidia.de/object/win7-winvis ... er-de.html) driver?
Since I have the same videocard I'm pretty curious if there are some working drivers...

Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
Im running a GTX460 with 285.62 (64 bit) and Win 7 64 bit. Runs great on low settings and decent on medium settings.
On both versions I have occassionally experienced a video hardware driver failure CTD that Windows recovers from. Message doesnt make sense, but its a new feature for me in the last 2 versions. Could happen in game and has also happened while browsing the web. Only happens once a day or so. Hoping it will go away with a newer version.

Could you be more specific, Stonie? When you say it's broken, what do you mean exactly? Does it give you an error message? What happens with its brokenness?Stonie wrote:Hi,

Hi!
Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
If your driver install is corrupted you will probably need to uninstall them and then install the newest ones available. But as Goggles says, we need more information to help you.
Also, what Operating System do you use? And is it 32 or 64 bit?

Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
I had the same occasional crashes with the BF3 beta driver. Installed the latest driver minutes ago so can't evaluate the driver yet. What CPU do you have Ash?Ash2Dust wrote:Im running a GTX460 with 285.62 (64 bit) and Win 7 64 bit. Runs great on low settings and decent on medium settings.

Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
Since I've installed the beta driver (285.38) to play the BF3 beta I also experience some strange errors from time to time after installing the latest nvidia driver (285.62). My monitor goes black and a second later it's like nothing has happened except Windows says something about a driver issue. Reinstalling didn't improve the situation but fortunately these errors occur very seldom.
I'm using Windows 64 bit

Exactly same here. Except it seems it stays black for me for about 5 secs. Everything is fine other than the annoyance.AlbinoKalle69 wrote:Since I've installed the beta driver (285.38) to play the BF3 beta I also experience some strange errors from time to time after installing the latest nvidia driver (285.62). Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
CPU: i7
OS: win 7 64bit
After clicking to icon to install (also treid in admin mode) The installation screen starts up, takes a few minutes.
Then just says that he failed installation.

Hope this is specific enough.
I already tried removing exsiting driver, but that turned out to be a nightmare.

Re: Nvidia GTX460 driver fail
Did you already check out the latest driver (285.62)? Maybe it's a good thing that you cannot install the beta driver because it surely didn't improve my situation
