if you have a sound card then disable that one and try to use the onboard chip on your motherboard. All motherboards have a onboard sound card.

If you are already using your onboard sound card (so you don't have an external sound card, then buy a external sound card.

I have a USB headset from logitech, I was sceptical before getting it because I'd always heard of problems with them. However, other than needing to have them plugged in before starting TS, I've not had any problems with them.

The issue I hear is stressing the USB bus and causing sporadic poor response on a USB mouse as the mouse doesnt have a dedicated interrupt. Partly why some motherboards are putting PS2 ports back on.

I haven't focused on the RAM as the game runs great with the sound card disabled...
I am downloading the newest drivers from Realtek now, lets see how that goes.
