Teamspeak has a stuck key?

Post by Cheesy »

This is a reeeeeally weird problem. For the past week or two, whenever I open TS, it immediately opens the File Transfers window and then keeps trying to click a button that's not there, so windows makes that little ding complaining at me. If I close the window, it pops open again immediately.

I notice when I close it, it flickers the Tools menu and then File Transfers. So the behavior is exactly what would happen if the T key on my keyboard was just permanently pressed down.

However my actual T key is fine. I can type normally and no other program does this.

I've tried unplugging every single device from my computer -- keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc. Nothing stops it from detecting this phantom keypress. And like I said, this only happens on TS.

Any idea what could cause it?

Do you have AutoHotKey or something similar installed? Any macros?

If not, then i'd just do a quick reinstall.

My assumption too.
Either hardware is sending a Alt-T keystroke or software is. Macros tend to be triggered.
