I don't think so. I've done some more testing and it's more like 50+ fps, I'll normally get 60 but in a gunfight it'll drop a bit.RazY70 wrote:Congratulations on the new rig
Is your HD6870 overclocked? I have a similar card and can reach 60+ frames only on low settings and not in all the maps (though my display is 1920x1200).
Same but high mesh, default FOV, and 144hzo1oo1 wrote:these work pretty well

What map(s) were you testing on and were you actually looking at the number enough to see if it went lower ever? Because I don't think my 7870 barely got ~60 minimum on high.Calloutman wrote:I don't think so. so if i was burnt by ATI during BF2, but do want get those specs with nvidia card till will last longest (star citizen and BF4) what should i shoot for?Calloutman wrote:Hopefully I'll be able to do some light overclocking with this. Got the more powerful PSU to cope with any future GPU upgrades which would be in the form of single card upgrades - not crossfire.

Hmm, I think reducing Shadow and Effects down to medium/low could achieve that. I'll test it out later.o1oo1 wrote:you need to get it to a point where you dont dip below 60 in combat

It's awesome playing at such a high resolution, however there are some annoying things. My minimap was much larger and easier to see at 1024x600
btw 01001, what's the benefit besides slightly smoother images? I'm running at around 50 as well and it works fine for me ^.^
