Global Conflict

I try to connect to server, and when map is done loading all I see is black screen.

Make sure your video card drivers are updated. BF4 can take a long time to load, almost 3 min for me on a regular hard drive. Switched game to a Solid State Drive and the load time is under 30 seconds. If you've gotten into any game and can not now try the repair install in your BF4 directory.

Only happens on GC server

I was having the same issue on the GC NA server, and it's the only time I've had it happen. I clicked join on Ghoul and it loaded in with sound but it was just a black screen. Tried a second time and same thing. Then I tried joining on someone else, but it was already the end of the round. It did load the next map just fine though.

I also get this once in a while that the black loading screen (with the blinking white square) is freezing. Usually it does work when I close the game and rejoin.

What? SSD makes it from 3 min to 30 secs? I can't take it anymore. Get win 8.1 to get better performance, get SSD to load faster....and then...eat bread for the rest of the year, because money gone!

Nah. It depends on ... how fast the game feels like loading. I don't have SSD and sometimes i load in first, sometimes i load in last.
Sure with SSD you'll always load up pretty quick, currently not worth it though IMO.
Smaller size, costs more and fails sooner. Its worse in every apect except crazy loading times.

Doesn't the GC server somtimes gets stuck between rounds? You only see the black screen with the loading symbol but you can still move and shoot

Yep, it happened to me before and just in the GC servers.

Yea I couldn't take it anymore either. Now I'm one of the first 3 people in game and have my choice of vehicles at the start

I picked up the Samsung 840 EVO 256GB for about $180 US. Although you could get the 128GB for around $130 US

thinking of picking up a second one to raid together for a 500GB then I could move my OS to it as well.
