The fact that you say it doesn't have any DVI ports despite saying it supports DVI is proof enough of that.

Another thing is you are using a TV for your monitor, which in my experience never has really ended well except when I used a nice 120 Hz samsung quality TV.

Have you tried using a different monitor (real monitor, not TV) at all just to see what happens? Have you manually uninstalled your graphics drivers, rebooted your computer, redownloaded a fresh DL of the newest stable drivers and installed them? How about different HDMI cables? Does your TV come with any software to install on a computer if used with a computer, and do you have it installed?
I'll be looking into other monitors as I was going to anyways. Suggestions would be nice. I bought this monitor back in 2012 and it was relatively cheap for its size and HDMI compatibility.
I have manually reinstalled drivers and I don't really have multiple HDMI cables - and there is no software to be seen on insignia website or even google-searches
EDIT: also maybe a relatively cheap dual-monitor set-up (doesn't have to be same size?)
VG248QE
Have fun.

Maybe a bit cheaper lol.
But I'll be testing some of my old monitors to see if the problem persists.

I would recommend you BENQ XL2411t. It's an excellent monitor for its price.

Update:
After looking into drivers, manual color corrections (through monitor and control panels), and gamma correction/3D image rendering settings in the nVidia control panel I'm just about majorly depressed because of the disability I gain when playing some of my more favorite/commonly-played games in fullscreen.
I'm finally going to actually contact nVidia and post on reddit/battlelog forums but wanted to update this thread, too.
When using the console command to screenshot the image produced it actually renders it without the washed-out colors
As of now I went through all the resolutions that actually wash out the colors of fullscreen games and here's the list:
1024x768 60.00Hz
1024x768 70.07Hz
1024x768 75.03Hz
1152x864 60.02Hz
1152x864 75.03Hz
1280x720 50.00Hz---------
1280x720 59.94Hz---------
1280x720 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1280x768 74.89Hz
1280x800 60.02Hz
1280x800 75.03Hz
1280x960 60.02Hz
1280x960 75.03Hz
1280x1024 60.02Hz
1280x1024 75.03Hz
1360x768 59.94Hz---------
1360x768 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1366x768 59.94Hz---------
1366x768 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1600x900 59.94Hz---------
1600x900 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1600x1024 59.94Hz---------
1600x1024 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1680x1050 59.94Hz---------
1680x1050 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1768x992 1080i 59.94Hz---------
1768x992 1080i 59.94Hz(2?)-----
1920x1080 50.00Hz---------
1920x1080 59.94Hz---------
1920x1080 59.94Hz(2?)-----

All the tagged resolutions produce a washed-out video and most of them are labeled as "p" by the monitor (e.g. when I apply the video setting my monitor shows '1280x720p @60Hz' in the top right corner). The two 1768x resolutions have the monitor spit out '1920x1080i @60Hz' (obviously the actual image is small in the center of the screen).
