New keyboard... and now can't open my map while sprinting.

Since buying my new keyboard after my last one broke, I can't open my map while holding down shift. It is particular to the "m" key as I can still open the scoreboard and switch between 3rd and 1st person with "c" in a vehicle. I'm guessing it's a preprogrammed keyboard command or something - anyone know a way to sort this out? I never realized how often I opened my map while travelling, and it's really obnoxious to slow down to open/close my map.

First thing - is it really just the M key? (game or keyboard fault?)
change the map key to something else and check if it works or not.

imo if you got thumb buttons on your mouse - use those. way easier to reach. i use the map a lot. doing so can give you great advantages on the battlefield (if you are able to use those information to your advantage)

if you want to stick to M fine as well (if it is actually set to M key). some keyboards black out when you push too many buttons (USB con only support 5 buttons i think - some keyboards have 2 USB ports for extra power supply). you might have to watch out for that.

jojo mentioned already ghosting, but what you describe sounds not normal. What keyboard do you have?

Like I mentioned other keys work while sprinting, so it's obviously not a problem of pressing too many buttons. Directional keys all work, as does C, tab, etc.

Keyboard is a logitech mk520 (it's a mouse/keyboard combo). No buttons on my mouse I'm afraid.

What happens if you change the binding from M to one of the buttons that you know works?

Not sure if this is possible but maybe the M circuitry doesn't play well with the other combination of buttons (I assume, W and Shift).
