Global Conflict

I'll start by saying I hope a fresh install of windows will fix this but if not I thought I ask for thoughts.

Headset is plugged into motherboard via USB.
When computer starts i get feedback and sound, once windows starts to load i lose all sound. device manager and volume control all show the headset is plugged in and working, yet still no sound.

Any ideas.

Does normal 3.5 mm jack work?

Sound card drivers maybe?

Is your headset set as the default playback device?

UPDATE: ended up having to format and install. so will be up all night installing everything.

install USB driver for headphones and set in game to headphones to
on CP / sound - set defolt speakers, hope help
