My notebook has a 3400+ processor in it, which i know the real clock is supposed to operate at 2.2 GHz, but mine keeps reporting a real clock speed of 802 MHz.

Now that sucks and I want it fixed.

I thought you were our psychic advisor. Shouldn't you be able to consult the spirits on this matter before posting here?

Notebooks with athlon cpus automatically adjust the multiplier (and possibly fsb and core voltage, not quite sure though) on the fly, depending on how much cpu power you're using atm to save battery power.

if you can, check it while in game or have your hardware monitor running and logging while playing, see if that changes anything.

Next time just plug in the power cord and everything will run in full speed.

Then you messed up something in PowerNow! settings because default setting is to run everything at full speed when power cord is pluged.

But as you said, you fixed it.
