There should be a fix.

Armored Shield 64 inf = massive gunglitch.

As usual, when someone says gunglitch begins, if you die you lose your weapon.
This time rejoining the server didnt help.

I was not here for the battleday, but is there going to be more testing on the glitch? Or was a cause found?

I can't find a thread where someone posted this.but cool mention that it might have something to do with a fast revive.I suggest we do not use the fast revive next time and see how it goes.if my theory of one player being the instigating factor is correct, it could be started by a single player using the fast revive trick and starting the Cascade of ngg. I know of two instances on damavand peak and caspian border where I was the first to get the glitch that I know of and it started when I tried to fast revive.

When we set the map to Karkand, SinX reported gun glitch on first spawn before the round had even started. Might have been a carryover from the previous round, but I'm pretty sure we did a server reset before switching maps.

i think Sinx was among the last ones to spawn in.
i don't think it matters if its your first spawn or not, it depends if the bug conditions were met.
same situation with people that rejoin the game and still get the glitch on their 'first' spawn. they too have a freshly loaded client.

we have two different servers on two different parts of the world and we are the only ones to get the bug, and on both servers, and even after a fresh install on one of them.
either its a bug caused by server settings, or something that was uploaded to both servers (or copied from one to the other) like the config file or other files that cause it.

Has anyone tried contacting DICE? I also think it would be a good idea to send a PM to crash on reddit, he's a community manager for DICE. If we can show him how the gun glitch is hampering our 100+ members community hopefully he's going to direct us to someone who can help. We should also try posting on the EA forums, maybe there's people out there that have the same problems we do. I would be doing all that myself, but I think it would be best to include in the messages all technical information we have available about the servers.

Was just watching zh1nt0 streaming BF3 (talking with lvlcap about bf4 and stuff..) and they filled the Server with people watching the Stream (so a lot of people connecting onto the Server I guess). And after a couple of minutes people in the ingame chat said they had no gun. And LevelCap got the nogun glitch as well.
Don't know what zh1nt0 is doing for Dice, but he was just like "Ahh, looks like you got the nogun thingy..". So it seems Dice at least knows about it.
Didn't sound like they were doing anything about it, or if that information is helping us solving it. But I though I'd post it.

I saw that in the stream too, I also got it in a eGO server when I was doing a fast revive.. not sure yet what the problem is but it seems PS3 users have the same problem

I was going to ask in the steam chat and also try to get in there game to ask. Perhaps somebody watching our playing knows how to fix the bug. At the very least it would be nice to express our annoyance to someone who works for dice. My power just went out again though, so perhaps someone else can try to get an answer.
