Vanilla just means normal BF2.

It looks like the above downloads are .zip files, so they will contain a folder named after whichever level it is. You want to copy (or extract) the folder into your "Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\" directory on your computer (there will be a bunch of other folders already, named stuff like Karkand
)
