Teamspeak protocol

Post by Stonie »

Global Conflict Teamspeak protocol.

Global Conflict is a gentlemen community and don’t accept abusive language.
Be respectful at all times to everyone, you can expect the same courtesy from everybody else.

All users (unregistered users and above):
General:
• You should register to the server.
• It is mandatory to use push to talk, at all times.
• Be respectful.
• Best behavior is expected, know when NOT push your button.

Battle days:
• There is a communication protocol on battle days. Check with your CO.
• Only necessary communications, try to use a combination with your Q button. Example; don’t yell “watch out, enemy behind the tree” but instead, spot with your Q button and say “enemy spotted on mini map”

Don’t use teamspeak:
• As a forum for you complaints, handle that with your CO after the battle day.
• As a comedian podium making fun of other users.
• To let everybody in your channel know how you got shot for the 16th time by Player X. It is purpose of the game to kill or get killed.

Channel administrator (CA users and above):
General:
• CA is handed out by the CO of the army (at the start of the campaign to division officers) For two reasons:
 Set up and/ or edit squad channels and their descriptions within the army tree.
 Hand out CA rights to enable the Channel Command for those who need it.
• You are trusted with the task to hand out the CA rights. Sometimes you have to protect some people from using CC and don’t hand them out. Tough job.
• Report missteps (people who don’t know how to behave) to your HC SA’s.

Battle days:
• Officers make sure you have your key binds in your own channel family
• Follow chain of command.
• Hold communication discipline within your channel
• SL, use your T button as much as possible for communicating with FC.
• Tip (not mandatory): try to use VOIP to talk to the commander on main battle days.

Don’t:
• Hand out CA rights because somebody thinks they are entitled to, because of (past) status. If you are not sure, just check with your CO.
• Have a key bind directly to members of the opposite army or Tournament Administrator.
• Get overheated, keep your head cool. Your behavior is an example to the ones below you in the structure. Don’t let them know you are angry.
• Kick people from your channel, report it and follow chain of command.

Server administrator (SA users)
General:
• SA rights will be handed out to a minimum of the army HC. Preferably 2 Europeans and 2 North Americans. At the
• You are responsible for:
 Setting up army tree.
 Provide the army of a communication protocol
 Communication with Tournament Administrators (or in absence with opposite army)
 Remain Teamspeak discipline with in your army.
 Handle incidents, and be able to answer for your actions to an Super administrator and/ or Executive member
• You have the ability to:
 Create channels
 Move people in different channels.
 Kick people from the server.

Battle days:
• Make sure your army knows your communication protocol.
• Make sure your army knows how to handle incidents and follow the proper chain of command.
• File any complains regarding the battle to the Tournament Administrator.
• Communicate as much as possible with your Commander screen.

Don’t:
• Hand out CA rights because somebody thinks they are entitled to, because of (past) status.
• Kick people without a valid reason or just for fun. Kicking people from the server is seen as last penalty, which will have further consequences for the offender

Super administrators:
General:
• Responsible for:
 Handling SA requests.
 Guard Teamspeak protocol.
 Reporting abnormalities to the Executive senate.
 Revoking TS rights after the campaign.
 Help out if an army SA is not present
 Help out who ever needs it.

Battle days:
• If an army SA is not present, assist on incidents.
• If an army SA is present, a Super administrator is expected to stay a side.

Don’t:
Hand out SA rights because somebody thinks they are entitled to, because of (past) status. If in doubt consult with other Super Administrators and/ or Executive senator.

Note:
All Server administrator rights will be revoked at the end of a campaign.
With exception of the executive senators.

Breach of protocol:
From time to time some members uses abusive language which spoils the fun for other members. This is not acceptable. But it happens.
Everybody can report an offender up the chain of command with in their army, (anonymous by pm to your CO) or public in channel by letting him know that his behaviour is not appreciated.
If you are offender, make sure that you can always apologize for your actions.
