I played the Pirates mod for Battlefield 1942 and I've already played the beta version of the Battlefield 2 version and they are both pretty fun.

I would love to play this with a bunch of people from GC.

That is soo unfair. The whole summer was f**ked up. $hit weather, no good PC games to spend my time with and amazon cold not manage to deliver the new load of Warhammer 40K novels I ordered.
And now? The sun is shining, BFP2 released, First Strike will follow next week, WiC released, I have beta keys for Crysis and Frontlines Fuel of War, the new semester at the university is starting and I got a big box with 10 novels from amazon.

Btt. I was playing Pirates for an hour yesterday and I love it!

Yah, for all the Gamespy and EA crap Crysis installs, there isnt anything about this game that would make me rush out there and download the demo either.

I'm not much of a fan of Demos, they are never as good or bad as the real game, the settings are often set too low, and on a game like Crysis which is a very graphics intense game, it could be a problem.

But I heard a lot of good things about Farcry and this is suppposed to be much, much more.

to be completely honest, I am not all that psyched about getting crysis. I really don't think it will be all that great unless you have dx10, and I don't, so unless I get to play the real version (not a demo, see ssnake's post) and like it or we use it in GC, I am not going to get it.

pirates, eh, I'll dl it and play it with you guys, probably dl during my football game today.
woke up this morning, put on my slippers, walked in the kitchen and died

It puts in Gamespy Comrade to boot up at Windows startup. I havent taken the time to go thru and clean out my registry/services/startups in awhile, so I'll need to do that soon. I have the EA stuff from BF2:AF and BF2142 online keys which with their latest beta of the EA software, its about to get bigger to make it easier for you to purchase their products online with big red purchase now buttons.
