Forget the camp system (that is easy). It's all about teams. Building a team is not easy it takes daily activity and creative thinking. Outside of TS, which is a leaders best friend, the forums are the the main line of communication and control of a squad, division or army.

I have said it many times, the best billet in a GC camp is Captain. If you enjoy the challenge of commanding a combat unit in a very difficult environment that is where you want to be. If you think you can build a team out of complete strangers in a week (player draft to Battle for initiative= 5 day) then you may be a Captain. My first Captains assignment was camp 5 (bf1942) My general (davout) gave me a template for organizing the HQ, barracks, and strat/tactics discussion forums. It was simple and very affective.

We hope to have a revamped "ABC" up and running well before the release date. That gives us some great command and control tools. The communication in the forums is the most important. Post...Post...Post!

BTW get in the GC TS and play!

Braaaiiiiins.....Buuuuulleettttsss...

Well, in my case, more like TV guided missiles and 500 pound bombs. I definitely plan to be back when BF3 drops. Some of the most fun I have ever had while gaming was being an Air Force/SF Captain.

Always preferred multiplay myself. They're taking preorders with a 50% discount on all servers until release day.

the "important" part

Code: Select all

In Unranked mode, player progression is not tracked on the master servers. Server administrators have free reign on such servers - no Battlefield Rules of Engagement to heed. They can control in detail which weapons are available to the players, etc. This mode is suited to playing clan matches, tournaments, or to those players who just like the fairness of everyone having the same range of weapons available to them."

This is excellent news! Now... how do we go about doing this in a fair and just manner?

... All weapons for everyone! WOOHOO!

Thanks for the link gribble. It is good and bad news. We can have 'full' control but our players will not be tracked by the EA system. Not a terrible thing I guess but it will cost us some players. we will have to wait and see if we can get oth.

Am I being difficult? I want it ALL!

Surely we do what we did before? Run it ranked during the week and then switch it to unranked on battle days?

It's much better this way. If they tracked unranked player stats many people would be more concerned with their scores rather than carrying out orders.
