Use of Unlocks in BF3C1

Post by Shrapnel »

While I think most of us agree that some unlocks are good for the game and some unlocks are not, BF3's admin controls do not currently allow us to choose which unlocks we can enable. Our only options are all on, or all off. As we approach the begining of our first BF3 campaign we have to decide which option we will choose. The TAs and Execs feel this decision is too large to be handled only by our small group and would like to know which way everyone thinks we should go.

These options have been discussed at length and this thread is not another discussion thread. Please vote for which way you think we should play and keep the discussion in this thread.

Some key points from the discussion:
Disabling unlocks changes the usefulness of certain kits/vehicles.
The starting weapons may be the most universally balanced weapons.
The game could still be considered balanced with all unlocks since everyone has access to the same items.
Not having unlocks may "turn off" new members.
Several unlocks are very annoying/overpowered and the game may be better without them.

haha, VK is a funny guy, right VK? :D

So far the unlocks are winning and I doubt it will change because of the amount of votes already cast. I'm guessing we should start planning our plans with unlocks in our plans for the plans.
BF2: C5 - Corporal | C6 - Corporal | C7 - Feldwebel (Sergeant) | C8 - Neutral Peace Keeper | C9 - Captain | C10 - Grand Moff (HC) | C11 - Macaca (Staff Sergeant) | C12 - Major | C13 - Corporal
BF3: C1 - Colonel | C2 - General | C3 - Neutral | C4 - Brigadier | C5 - Private | C6 - Brigadier General
BF4: C1 - Tournament Admin | C2 - General
