No gun glitch survey

I'm trying to get a sense for when people are getting the no-gun glitch. Mostly, I want to see if one server or the other is worse about it.

I personally got the gun glitch three times on Alborz this weekend, but zero times on any other map (1 vote EU, 0 votes NA).

How about you guys?

had it on alborz multiple times.
mostly on spawn, but once even suddenly while waiting for the MBT the gun disappeared, only to reappear 30 secs later.
didn't restart the game since i was driving the MBT and you can still shoot in vehicles.

got it again on Caspian, about 3 times on the first round.
however, i believe i got it only on the EU server.
i play on other servers during the week, and hadn't experienced it anywhere else but GC.

oh, hate that glitch.....do we know what is causing it? Just a note, once after a few deaths suddenly the weapon appeared in my hands with the animation like I'm drawing out the rifle and there was a sound in the background like the one you get for unlocking something.

The glitch hit me several times on Alborz, Armored Shield and Caspian.

Happened to me once during Alborz this week.

It occurred last week as well twice in Caspian if I remember correctly.

Happened to me twice on Caspian and once on Armored Shield. The first time I managed to get my gun back by pulling out the knife and going prone. On the other times I had to rejoin. Btw, this happened to me only when I got revived.

I only played on Alborz.
Happend a lot to me. Sometimes the gun came back like Hitman discriped ( unlook pling, yes! maybe I found a leg. or a set item ).
Sometime the gun came back getting into Flagzone, sometimes when I got hit but mostly I had to restart after some respawns without gun. It seems to happen after spawn as well as running around and suddenly the gun is missing.
The crosshair is still to see and changes with the wapons, just no klick klich or bang bang with it.
happend as assault and AT and it had nothing to do with revives on my side, I know that sometimes you become a zombie and this remembered me of it too ( do those Zombies have a crosshair as well ?).

I don't have the "no gun" glitch but I had no crosshair on the NA server. That happens to me every week during battledays. I don't mind too much as I can still kill Cheesy but I'm not a big hardcore mode fan...

I had it 3 times last battleday. Twice exiting vehicles and once after a revive. All on the EU server, if I remember correctly.

did someone experience it on other servers?
usually i play on "normal" servers, and i didn't have it anywhere else.

so either this bug exists on all servers, but is caused only when using a specific combination of server settings (in which case we should identify the setting causing it and change it until dice fix it, if ever), or it only exists on GC server for some reason, in which case reinstalling the BF3 server files should fix it.

Only heard about this bug on GC and had it the first and only time so far on the last Battleday, on the EU Server.
If i remember correctly, someone said he had this bug on a public server too. So its not GC only. But I never seen this Bug outside GC.

1200+ hrs on ranked and a lot on unranked and I have never gotten this bug other than on GC.

I had this bug on Strike at Karkand. Not sure on which server it was, it was one or two weeks ago. I haven't experienced this bug on other servers. It occurred after being revived. We should organise some sort of "Bugfield 3" battleday to find out what causes the "no-gun glitch." It seems it happens when a lot of action is going on and because on "our" server the action usually happen when there are loads of people around in a small area ("organized teamplay" hoorah! ). This may explain why this bug is less/not seen on pub server ("headless chicken play").

What do other people think causes can be?

I've noticed this and a invincible glitch ever since they updated the servers for Aftermath. You can find discussion of it in the BF3 forums.
