Many people signed up to be officers in C1, which is great. But a lot of others said they just want to be grunts. I need your help peer pressuring them to change their mind
If you've never tried squad leading before, give it a shot. You'll make someone else's battleday better.
If you've squad led before but never stepped up as an officer, this is a great time to try.
If you've been an officer before, please do it again. We'll have a lot of new people coming into GC, and we need our very best role models there showing them how it's done.
If you've been in high command before, think about the General position. It's a rollercoaster ride that everyone should try once
To help with the peer pressuring, I collected the survey responses* about everyone's favorite squad leaders. I want them to know the impact they made, and everyone else to see how they could do the same.
If you see yourself here: congrats, you made someone's GC time better. Please do it again!
If you don't: what a great reason to sign up for an officer position next campaign
We'll be selecting high commands for BF4 C1 soon, and they'll be picking officers. If you want to be on the list and didn't say so in the survey, send me a PM!
"Who were some of your favorite squad leaders/officers?"
JD is a nice dude and he was helpful even when i was new.
Callout man was fun to talk to always
and most of all Cognito con was awesome to play with. he is silly but knows how to be objective and smart at the same time.
Pump it up Pump!
Any squad leader who makes you laugh, when you win or loose and makes you feel comfortable playing.
Hitman, Soa, ICallIDtheft
Star, Runaway, JD, Corran, Shadow, Gwyzner, Bock, Spreez, etc.
Corranhorn, Hitman, Starfisher, Gwynzer...
all the old timers
jddes ad. giggles
Most of them don't play anymore. From the new guys I met, everyone is pretty rad, but I might forget to list someone and they can get hurt.
Gwynzer was always fun because of his sexy voice and his sexy Music bot always playing great tunes.
Haruky, Hitman, Fawad, DiscoSoup, a4
Starfisher was my very first SL (and general), nicely introduced me into GC-style and generously ignored my noobishness.
Sao did lead great and fun practices, every army needs a Sao
Necro, comes to my mind. I believe he did a really good job lead armour last campaign.
Starfischer - General, officer, SL
Overall the SL:s in STAR held a high quality.
I don't know really. Starfisher is pretty good with all his docs and calm demeanour. Cheesey is always calm in tough situations too as an FC. Gonzo is a good SL. Gwynzer too. Flummi is a good officer when he's not mad about something. Matsif is a good officer. There are many more...
I've had lots of good squad leaders. Sloth, LordGonzo, Kismet and CorranHorn are those I remember best from this campaign.
Anyone I can have fun with!
Jddddddddddes I love being in a squad with him.
Bock, Sao, Admiral Giggles, Starfisher. Lots more, I suck at remembering things like this.
Arcturus,KoffeinFlummi,AdmiralGiggles,Jddes,Necromancer,Gardalop,Duke. There are many others, but these are the names I remember right now.
Starfisher for president!
Black Ice, Kismet, Matsif, Ceki, Gwynzer. Also, probably lots of others that I cannot remember.
Cheesy, StarfisherEcho, RAGEFACE7, CorranHorn, Kuchenfari, jddes, dan1mall
Shrapnel, Runaway, and TacticalVirus - tell em ter get their arses back into HC positions or suffer my disapproval
From those that I played with some frequency in the recent past: Bock, Hgx, jddes, Cheesy, Gardalop, thallus, haruky, BanzaiLang, A Docile Sloth, BlackIce, KoffeinFlummi, LoRdG0nZo, CekiHappy, StarfisherEcho, Fields, cairdazar, XrunawayX, zorplex.
Bock, Sao, and Star because of their can-do-it attitudes.
Bock, SirSlicey, Thallus, Lordgonzo, DiscoSoup + many more amazing peeps
StarfisherEcho, FieldsofBlue, Haruky.
Jd, Sao, Hitman, Necro, Starfisher, Arcturus, Cheesy
Starfisher is the obvious example of what you'd strive for in a leadership position. Few people posses the collective bunch of traits and you likely won't be able to always have a person leading each team that will match up like that.
What you really want is a person who is comfortable taking charge and take responsibility regardless of the outcome. Someone who is willing to put in an effort to get to know the people he'll be in charge of. Last but not least it's important to have someone whom players feel they will trust in to make the right decisions during gameplay as well.
Hmmmmm, couldn't say
I don't know...definitely not Cheesy. He makes too many surveys.
Undertow and Sao
Sirslicey, Lord Gonzo, Calloutman, Bock, DocileSloth, Gwynzer, Fields, jddes.
Starfisher, Sloth, Cheesy, Frostey
CorranHorn, TCZapper, LoRdG0nZo, Calloutman, Bock, StarfisherEcho, Hgx, TheYonderGod
Cheesy is pretty much the best. Starfisher is the King of the World. No debate. Runaway has a great leadership style. TacticalVirus has a wonder-inch. Other good leaders (in no particular order): Shrapnel, Calloutman, Gwynzer, Jddes, Kuchenfari, Hgx, ADocileSloth, BlackIce, Corranhorn, Sao. Others I'm forgetting. Also, SirSlicey is a good squad leader. From an FC's perspective, Undrt0w and Solmartig stood out to me this campaign as non-officers who I could count on to SL and get the job done.
let's get CHEMICAL...
Gwyn, Corran, Matsif, Starfisher and probably some more that slip the mind right now. Hard to think back further than the last campaign.
Gwynser, SAO, Corran Horn, Jddes
- Arcturus (don't tell him I said that)
Gwynzer for general!
I had no favorites, except for maybe SirSlicey. He knew how to be laid back, funny, and serious at the same time, got the job done, and always cooperated in means of keeping with the activities GC wants officers/squad leaders to follow (tactical lingo, orders, etc.).
Hitman, Bock Starfisher, Tactical Virus. always calm and they are good leaders.
I came into GC in HitCorp. HitCorp didn't have the skill but Hitman was a great leader. I didn't get to team up again with him until C6 and he again was a great leader when Calloutman was on leave.
hitman44, JD, Haruky and Sao
Using this to reccomend people:
HC Candidates: Sloth, InsanityRocks, Bock
INF Captain: Gonzo, he's been made INF Captain and last week of campaigns twice now.
Chefcook (my mentor)
Corranhorn (when he's here)
Runaway, CorranHorn, BNLong, Tactical Virus
Bock, Giggles, Kuchenfari, Sao
Too many to name
In no particular order:
A Docile Sloth
Every single interaction (that I can remember) with those guys has been top-notch.
Solmartig, Hitman, Necro, Fiasherman
Too many to pick from.
VK, Stonie, most of the old crowd. Don't really know the new guys too well as officers.
Off the top of my head: Sup, Runaway, Arcturus, Starfisher, Jddes, Bock, dan1mall, Hitman
*I edited a few of these to remove identifying info, so sorry if I left yours out or changed itno, presure isn't my thing.
Ahhh I can't stand the pressure!
