service stars

I seem to get these service stars at no apparent intervals. it is not the 100 kills stars we are used to from BF3. I do not have a pic but you see one of them here within the battlereport in the awardssection.

Anybody around who can enlighten me, what the preconditions for them stars might be?

Thats a conquest service start. you get it by capping flags iirc.

EDIT: i dont know actually, If i check my profile I have 10 conquest service stars. Maybe it is a set amount of points?

vehicle/kit/game mode service stars were always given by points.
Only weapon service stars in BF3 used to be 100 kills, i think.

So do we know how many points you need? Is that points per game, or overall points in a certain category?

In BF3 they used to show the progress to the next service star in points. Not the case for BF4 anymore.
Btw, for jet service stars you needed far less points then for a tank service star. I always found that strange..

For the weapons there is a indicator bar at least (the percentage agrees with the number of kill, btw), but for the vehicle there isnt even a bar.

Weapons by all means should simply be every 100 kills like in BF3. Vehicles, correct me if I'm wrong, are just like in BF3 a service star for every time you earn the amount of points it'd take to get all unlocks past the initial unlocking phase.

Service stars for gamemodes I have no idea, but they're definitely tied to points since I gained a fuckton last night during double xp.

I have a Assault service star on the track list ( don't ask how it got there...) and it says 200145 out of 310000 assault score.
I'm to layzy to look if this is the max for all unloks with assault
