That is the most frustrating part.

Once a carrier gets breached almost no point in playing anywhere else.

right, unless you have all the flags on the land you will not kill the enemy carrier with missiles fast enough be for the M-COMs are downed.

And the layout inside the carrier in BF2 was way more detailed (if I remember correctly), as was the shipdesign in the singleplayer scenarios.

Yer. CA is disapointing for me at the moment.

Too fast to get the shields down. (In 2142 there were 5 silos and it took between 3x-5x longer to take out the shields). The silos were also a lot harder to cap... the cap ranges on the maps I've played have been massive. Once you're in the carrier it's just crap. Paradrop spawn, inabiltiy to defend. Shallow objectives "arm A, wait 20 seconds. Wait a bit, arm B". Too few objectives. Broken doors in the carrier. It's all silly.

I think many of the issues could be solved with a patch. We'll wait and see what happens.

Played only for like an hour or less. Can't say too much other than the SR338 really does suck after trying out. I knew it stat-wise, but I still wanted to try it out. Needs a massive buff already.

DICE and their incredible knowledge about balancing that goes outside human boundaries.

With this, I present you (and I hope that the guy who posted this made a mistake somewhere):

@Reddit:

On Carrier Assault Large on Lost Islands the US side has 1 extra attack boat and a Little Bird. Needless to say, this puts the China side in a very unbalanced situation every time.

DICE just reached a new level on patch testing.

I just checked that and it's true. For some reason the US side have 6 vehicles from the beginning while China only has 4.
Someone must have forgot to add the extra boat or it was never meant to be!

Suddenlly the fact I have lost 100% of my CN sides and 100% of my US sides makes sense.

We have the same issue on Rogue Tranmission 64v with the MAA on Charlie flag and here we are 6 months later :D

AC130 is way too OP/annoying, specially on Carrier assault on which you neither have an MAA or jets to deal with it. And since it covers the whole map, it basically means you are either spotted or under fire.

On CQ Large maps, the stealth jets is WAY more useful, specially for farming AC130, ACVs and people trying to use the old cannons

Vincent0k, the BF Community Manager, has been going around posting the following comment in all the threads involving Carrier Assault and the request for it's paradrop removal:
Hi there and thanks for all of your feedback. The team is currently having discussion about Carrier Assault based on the input from our community.

We may actually be getting Carrier Assault "fixed" by removing it's most lame feature. Knowing DICE it will be a few months before they all come to the conclusion that the thing people have been saying shouldn't be there since it was first announced should be removed. Either way though I'll definitely start playing CA again if they do give in and remove it as it really is the only thing keeping me from playing it due to the amount of cheese factor it has. How it ever got past anyone at the dev team in the first place as a good idea is beyond me.
