IIRC according to DICE's timeline it's supposed to be out Q4 of this year.

which means it's either going to be barely different from BF4 or be rushed trash because DICE Stockholm is still finishing up Mirror's Edge 2.

I hope I'm wrong but having been disappointed in the past 3 BF releases I just can't get excited for the series anymore.

Hopefully it's DICE LA not Stockholm working on it then. Their CTE program really helped BF4 stop being the broken mess Stockholm left it in. Considering their recent experience with BF4, I suspect this might be the case.

Here's hoping they won't need a CTE and they get it right the first time.
Nope, couldn't keep a straight face.

TBH, I wish every game came out unbroken. Remember before the internet was a thing and devs couldn't patch games? Back when if it was crap it stayed crap and the devs paid for it.Back when people released, for the most part, unbroken games because they had to release unbroken games. Good times...

I'm so excited for it to not be BF4.

I mean, it can't be as bad as 4, right?

Noice
In Battlefield 5, you will play as an animate spark slowly orbiting a badass looking soldier in the iconic Battlefield picture of a dude standing, walking or running. Points are scored by causing lens flare, washing out the UI by reflecting the sun or inducing motion blur. Players can unlock a secret level where they spawn with no gun called "Global Conflict BF3C4+".

It's magic.
Not even joking bros

I don't really care if they do WWII, Vietnam, Modern, Near Future, whatever... If they make a game with decent hit detection and add gadgets based on what they add to the gameplay and not just because they exist, I'll be happy.

I'm guessing I won't be happy.
