I must have blinked and missed the gameplay. All I saw was first person cinematics.

yeah that's all I saw. in that image kilo posted it looks like we're back to 4 man squads assuming it was a full squad, but really there was no gameplay in that video, just a bunch of scripted events taken in the game, as per usual.

edit: went back into the live stream where they had a full 64 player game. didn't get to see a spawn screen for class selection or whatnot, but it was at least real gameplay. the announcer guys did mention class differences, which at least qualms my fears of the game being a battlefront clone and actually being a real battlefield game. overall looked decent but wish I could see more of the menu system and such.
woke up this morning, put on my slippers, walked in the kitchen and died

Jackfrags got to post some video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkRcvtGE90Q

5 man squads

fraking drivable zepplin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkRcvtGE90Q

Although .. did anyone every actually do that in WWI? Drop bombs from a Zeppelin? Seems like there are.. problems with this plan.

The air gameplay looks period-authentic. Which I guess is good, because in all the other games they had to slow everything down ridiculously.

They show the spawn screen in the second round I believe. I remember seeing it and it was pretty smooth, they didnt show customization screen though nbd.
Gameplay in the stream still looked solid and fun although I noticed some netcode issues (could possibly be just the early build mechanics and/or the fact that they're all streaming).
Gameplay starts right at 02:01:00
EDIT: Screencap from 02:08:30-02:09:00 and the spawn screen map is environmentally live

I am not yet sure what to think of BF 1 overall, but it seems to be suitable for GC

Here's 40 minutes of unedited footage from Lvlcap. I've not watched it yet, but it should give some good insights into what the game will be like.

EDIT: Some thoughts.

Gameplay looks fun in general
Less focus on weapons customisation - good. Extreme weapon customisation in BF4 made balancing weapons hard and was just annoying in general.
Vehicles look strong if well manned - can't just hop in a tank and dominate
Lots of automatic weapons, but still maintains gritty WW1 feel IMO. I like it.
"Q to request revive" is a nice touch
Everything seems to be destructible
No levolution, which is great.

Initially at least, it looks like a decent contender for a GC campaign :)
Zeppelin is player controlled, and shooting it down isn't scripted, it looks amazing while burning up.
The whole aesthetic of the game is fantastic - explosions, fire, texturing, etc.

Menus and spawn screen looks fine.
