Hey, there seems to be a new voice conference chat in town.

Discord.

I have limited experience, but it seems decentralized? Free?

I'm KismetJimu on Discord. I'd like to add some good GC folk or be added so we're still connected without TeamSpeak

I've been using it for about 2 years now. I'd say it has everything GC needs and is free, except for CC -- that is, if we ever have use for that again :(

Can it support the amount of people we would have on the server? I think there's tons of bots for it, maybe there's one that can do CC.

as far as I'm aware there's no replacement for channel commander with discord, bots or otherwise, and frankly it doesn't do anything nicer than teamspeak already does with what we're doing, so there's no real reason to port ourselves over to it.

not that we need channel commander at the moment.

Hey GC
Let's show up
Let's try to be a thing
Download and install
Discord
I don't understand it.
I have played with a few Rocket League peeps
We don't understand what is happening
We need a substrate of games or players willing to play
We can find a game of whoever is willing to play a Rocket League game...
And so on

It's a bad substrate...

Aren't some people paying for the ts3 server to be up?

I've been using discord a lot but only as a supplementary community chat (basically like an IRC) while we still use mumble for VOIP.
