info wrote: Frontline18 is an independent non-commercial project around the First World War and computer games. Our aim is to have fun together, develop games and modifications, build up a community and do historical research on the the First World War. Furthermore we provide a platform for communication via our forum and IRC chat. At the moment we're focussed on four projects. Our main projects are modifications of the famous first-person shooters Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 from Electronic Arts. Under the name of Battlefield 1918 we're developing a total conversation of these games. In addition to fun and diversity we also try to be as historically correct as possible. With more than 50 new vehicles, weapons, aircraft and uniforms our Battlefield 1942 modification brought players into the Great war and our coming Battlefield 2 mod will have at least the same dimensions. Our third maior project ist the modification The Great Trench War for Electronic Arts' Command & Conquer Generals. This is a real-time strategy game which will also be converted to the First World War scenario. Featuring detailed vehicles and soldier models The Great Trench War will also attach importance to ahistorically correct background. Finally we invest much time into our History Databank. Here our visitors can find historical facts on the Great War. In illustrative articles we provide information on technology, warfare and historical events in the First World War era. Our spectrum stretches from short factfiles to detailed essays of several pages on general history, technology, vehicles and personalities of the Great war. The Frontline18 project mainly consists of the Battlefield 1918 team and parts of the former TGTW team. To have a safe base for future development and coordinate our work we joind into a single project which at the moment has more than 50 active members.
they released their second Airshow yesterday. This time also a few vehicles are included. Have a look at their website for more information.
