Hello? Hello? Hello? Anyone still playing? ing? ing?

I missed the last $8 sale but just got it for ~$7.50. I might be able to play later this weekend.

The new Civilization was leaked. Looks like Alpha Centauri 2 basically. It's got me pretty excited, yet at the same time I'm going to miss having a bit of a foothold on the reality portion of the game.

Awesome. I hope it releases with all the features one would expect. I personally don't want another instance of coming off Civ 4 with the most features that all worked well together to a new iteration with almost none of the features and had to wait for two expansions just to get some of the more basic features any game called civilization should have. IE Religion.

It's using the Civ V engine, blegh. I hope they manage to make the multiplayer less buggy. Maybe their familiarity with the engine will produce a more polished product. I heard they are releasing a Linux client, so hopefully they will spend some time optimizing it.

It's been a long time since they've had good future content. (I still remember the first time my newly researched A.I. decided to revolt and take half my cities with it.*) Hopefully this turns out well!

*Apparently the first "Civ" game I played was a spin off called "Civilization: Call to Power" released in 1999. It was made by Acitivision and had a sequel that dropped the Civilization title as they became competing brands. I always wondered why other Civ games didn't have future content...

I'm holding off 'till the GOTY edition. I really wanna play but I know it'ss going to get cheaper fast and there will be a lot of DLCs. I also know (Despite not playing them myself) that the Civ games tend to be pretty dire at launch.

Played the demo. It was fun. Aliens are a much bigger threat than barbarians. No idea if the multiplayer is improved. Still going to wait for the complete edition. I'm tired of buying games in pieces.

Trade routes are OP and the we really need a version of the eui dlc from civ5.
I poked around in the ui files and at least managed to add more sorting options for the trade routes, linky
