About the game A hybrid RTS/FPS game that involves asymmetrical sides (Marines & Aliens) fighting for control of a map with the ultimate goal of wiping out the enemy team. Commanders on either side construct buildings, capture resources and support their troops while each unit on the field is controlled by another player, making a truly unique and dynamic experience.
Natural selection comes in 2 flavors:
HL1 mod, with millions of downloads and a still active community.
To-be-released stand alone game; scheduled for a September release.

When I get back next Wednesday we should definitely play this. I heard from another friend that the mod alone was awesome, but the standalone version looks amazing! Glad you reminded me of this!
Bump! I've had a bit of cash in my pocket so I picked up the prorder. It has, by far, exceeded my expectations. The gunplay feels great, playing as the aliens is unique and fun, and the game offers lots of depth in strategy and playstyle. I really really REALLY recommend it.
Exo suits also just got implemented into the game. It's like the goliath from starcraft, but you get to pilot it!

Steam has actually been acting very assholish to me lately, not installing/starting up anymore. Nor is it fully installing/updating games. Probably have to drop it totally from my computer and switch out one of my HDD's as it's probably FUBAR.
But I saw Totalbiscuit playing this and it seemed pretty cool, so I pre-ordered it. Haven't played it since this stupid crap began with Steam.
