Privateer remains one of my favorite games of all time. Freelancer was good and all but for some reason it didn't do it for me the way the original privateer did. Probably nostalgia talking.

Can't wait to see what the golden ticket brings :)

Guess I'm a couple days late to the party.

I've heard of kickstart and Brian Fargo raising almost 3 million forWasteland 2. Hes actually kickforward to 20 other projects.

Havent heard of crowdfunding. Seems like a developer revolt is happening.

Kickstarter is crowdfunding, it's just a platform to facilitate it. Roberts is doing it on his own site though.

But wow. This looks amazing. I really hope it reaches the $2 million goal. I know I'll be buying the $30 package as soon as I have a chance. I also wonder what my golden ticket will do.

The only think that worried me was that he was using a controller the entire video.
BF3:
C2: [K22S] Kinetic Influence - Senior Operative
C3: [PI3d] PRIDe - Lieutenant
C4: [G1S] Gladius - Sergeant
C5: [KYT] Kitten Adventure Rainbow Time - Private 1st Class
C6: [SIP] International Monetary Fund - Private
BF4
C1: [AD] Allied Forces - Private

I don't think this is going to have any problems getting to the $2 million goal. I know if I had it I would buy the $10K package. As it is all I can afford right now is the $60 package. Once the site is stable I'll be going for that. Good to know that the alpha test is going to be popular... over 1,000 alpha/beta testers already.
