Its set to Gazala with all planes in the game present, you don't need a mod to join it.

After installing Battlefield 1942, you need to go to PlanetBattlefield.com to update the game to battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19.exe then to battlefield_1942_incremental_patch_v1.6_to_v1.61b.exe

Or get them directly from EA at
battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19.exe

and

battlefield_1942_incremental_patch_v1.6_to_v1.61b.exe


If you have lost your cds here is a link to a torrent that has iso files for

secret weapons
with instructions on how to install them all. Try to use your original cd keys. I know we normally do not sanction this but there is a keygen there as well if you've just lost everything over the years and I also have a huge list of CD keys for all these games if need be. It has been 10 after all and some of you were still in grade school when we founded GC. Lastly there is a no CD patch there as well so you won't need a original CD to play.

Torrent

when you go to that page, do not hit the huge download button, you want to hit the link that says "get this torrent" with a little magnet symbol next to it. You'll need a torrent program installed for it to work like Utorrent or Vuse

if your installing to windows 7 64bit you may need to modify your registry a little if you are experiancing crashing of the game. if not don't worry about this.

Open Notepad and pase the below into it and save it as battlefield.reg then save the file and double click it after replacing the ************************ with your cd keys with no spaces

lastly here is a file that Installs an Application Compatibility Database designed to prevent Battlefield 1942 from crashing in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Compatability Fix

Good point on the punkbuster. Even ballance does not support 1942 any more so here are the latest files. download and unzip into your battlefield 1942/PB directory (PB directory is inside the main game directory) and you should be up to date

In the patches directory don't download anything but the GC 2.01 mod as the other stuff would never be used.

Awesome Ghoul, thanks for putting this together. I still have all files on my HDD but this will be imensely helpful to others. I also suggest when you make a clean install of the game that you copy game files into another folder so that you have 2 identical game installs prior patching. Then you can patch one copy with 1.6 and the other with 1.6.1.
1.6 had more public servers while 1.6.1 was the latest patch with all fixes. Also don't forget to update Punkbuster.

Also don't forget to delete all files in "Movie" folder so you go straight in game when you click the game icon.

I can't find the server nor can I connect to that ip/port. I'm running v1.61
Am I the only one?

It wouldn't find it if I chose to just add it but if I clicked join it would find it and connect. Unfortunately it then greets me with invalid cd key... so.. yeah...
