Just curious, is anyone else here buying Assassin's Creed III? And for what platform?

Put a preorder in for the (PC) Collectors Edition from the Ubi Store. I love Assassins Creed, even if I did have to wait *forever* to play AC2 'cause I refused to buy a came with that draconian always-on DRM. Thank god ubisoft woke up to that. It'll probably take me a while to actually get the came, when I preordered AC:Revelations collectors from UbiStore, it took until about a week after PC release for them to actually ship it, but I'm happy enough to wait.

I really enjoyed Black Flag. However, I enjoyed it in spite of the AC universe, not because of it. Remove the AC lore and leave the game as a pirate simulation and it's still a great game. No other AC game has really ever been that great to me because the surrounding parts weren't that good imo.

Unity I may get because of the co-op, but I certainly won't get it at release. I'll see what it looks like on consoles when my brother inevitably gets it for christmas, see if it looks worthwhile for the non-AC story related parts, and go from there.

I'm a mega Aassasins Creed fan and preordered the fancy editions on of the ubi store. I wanted the new statue to match my other Assassins figures.

Unfortunately because of the release delay, the game arrives just before I go on a work trip so I'm not going to have the chance to play. At least one month of aggressively avoiding spoilers for me

hearing the game has lots of FPS issues on consoles (especially xbone) but the coop is apparently pretty good. general sense I'm getting is "when it works, it's excellent, but you'll hate it because of the FPS drops and stuttering."

gonna hold out for a few more reviews and gameplay vids.

I'm probably picking it up on the Christmas sales, if it looks like they have fixed the performance issues.
