Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm is $5 today (daily deal). Really fun game; we've done a few GC fun days with it.

Just passing by to say that you can buy a pack with Call of Juarez Gunslinger + Far Cry Blood Dragon for $6! Two of my favorite games of all time. COJ has an excellent gameplay plus if you are any fan of the wild west as I am you will be hunting all the nuggets of truth to know more about it! Blood Dragon is just silly fun with a 80's vibe.

for the next 3.5 days or so, GOG has the whole pack of D&D based RPGs on sale for roughly $20. link

The pack includes:
-Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 complete editions
-Icewind Dale 1 and 2 complete editions
-Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 complete editions
-Planescape: Torment
-The Temple of Elemental Evil
-Dragonshard
-Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone

a few of these are regarded as some of the best PC RPGs ever made, and I know NWN has a ton of mods as well that extend it's life. Considering most of these go for $10-$20 each on steam/not on sale on GOG, this is a huge steal, if only for NWN1/2 and BG1/2. They are on sale separately as well, all costing around $2 except NWN2 at $4.

Great buy for some of the best classic RPGs of all time.

A few words on Verdun, if you're interested in it:

First of all, if you liked RO2, you're likely to enjoy this game too. It is comparable to the standard game type there (as opposed to the realistic mode that most servers play in RO), the main difference being that you get immediate kill confirmations and there is no team damage.

It's quite easy to unlock all the kits in Verdun. When I first found out how to do it (with about 8 to 10 hours of gametime), I allready had accumulated enough points to unlock pretty much everything. There are three different loadouts for every class and, including specialist classes, about 10 distinctly different classes per side (I think the Entente gets a few more than the Central powers, because they have British, Canadian and French squads, while the Central powers only have german ones right now)
The weapons reach from bolt-action rifles to machine guns and there are even some classes that are specifically kitted out for hand-to-hand combat, with weapons like a revolver with an attached bayonett and a trench club.
The wide variety of weapons is one of the main reasons I like the game. You can have a distinctly different experience every time you play, since even the bolt-actions are vastly different from side to side. It's a great example of asymmetrical balance.

The game is more noob friendly than RO2, since the UI and the clear difference between attack, defense and counter-attack make it easy to grasp what you're meant to be doing. You need a lot less map knowledge to enjoy the game, since it's always clear where the enemy is coming from. It's also nice not to be yelled at for the many, many times I accidentally shot at friendlies.

There aren't too many different maps (I think maybe 5 or 6), but they feel completely different from one another. Some have deep and complicated trenches, some just have ditches. For some, the trench lines are almost in spitting range, while others have no-mans land for hundreds of meters.

All in all, I think it's definitely worth the ten bucks they want for it right now, provided you like this sort of game.
