$45 isn't a bad deal... I just preordered. It's not likely to go below $40 any time soon and a $5 premium to play at launch is acceptable.

I didn't want to wait for a physical copy and mess with the $20 promotion, so this is a better option. With tax, the price difference is <$4.

Count me in for launch dek0y!

Woo! Nice. I got the physical copy, but I shop at Amazon all the time so the $20 credit is as good as cash to me. And since I have Amazon Prime, it'll be delivered on Tuesday. I can't play till Tuesday evening anyway, so I'm cool with that. But I'm glad this works for you.

dek0y, I saw some game play footage, and it seems interesting enough for me to play, but I am probably going to get it when it is like 20 bucks or something....Yeah...

Is buying a CD-key from DirectGamecards legal? I mean, there's no risk, right?

Well for those of you who have put up with the SimCity server issues these past couple of weeks, EA has decided to try and give us an olive branch. Update Origin by restarting the client and you should find a prompt for a free game from the following list:
  • Mass Effect 3
    Battlefield 3
    Dead Space 3
    Simcity 4
    Medal of Honor Warfighter
    Bejeweled 3
    Plants Vs Zombies
    Need For Speed Most Wanted
ME3 is a great game but really requires that you've played the first 2 games to get the most out of it. My top two picks were Need for Speed and Dead Space 3. I haven't actually played the prequels, but I've seen so many good things about Dead Space 3 that I decided to give it a try.

If you don't see the prompt try the following:

Launch Origin - Choose Origin > Launch Featured Today > Follow on Screen Prompts
