Looks pretty awesome, until it comes out I'm gonna start playing RO2 again, it's a really fun game.

It's a WWII game, which isn't that common in FPS games anymore. Would be fun if we could get a group of players and play something else than modern shooters.

Rising storm is set in the Pacific campaign of 1941-45, and will be released when it's done. From looking at the trailer it seems to be pretty much done, some bugs but nothing too significant.

I don't like the pacific theater, and graphics look outdated. Running animation reminds me of BF1942.

I was in the pre-alpha development of RS; it's pretty exciting to see it almost complete. Some of the maps are seriously amazing and really bring the RO2 gameplay up a notch!

Forgive me for if I am ignorant, but isn't the term red orchestra refers to the European theater more than the Pacific theater? I mean, I would still like the game, but why wouldn't they just make a IP?

It's unreal engine 3, so no, graphics are not outdated. The running animation is based on how the japanese soldiers actually ran like during WWII, the germans has the same running animation in-game. The germans and americans runs "normally".

You can get RO2 right now for 17,99€ on steam. The expansion is most likely not gonna cost anything, since it's made by modders. Tripwire (devs of RO2) is paying them to make rising storm.

I was super skeptical about RO2 but now that I got it I don't regret it a bit! It is an amazing game if realism is ur thing!
