Is it possible that Bioware didn't feck up the ending after all?

The indoctrination theory has been around for ages. That blog post seems old as some of the author's arguments are proven wrong in the Extended Cut. Plus some parts do seem like conjecture, ie we never know when TIM was indoctrinated so the whole thing about control chips and Shepard is a bit "eh" to me.

I've never really been a believer in the IT, but they do present some compelling arguments.

I just finished my ME1-3 play-through last night, my mind was BLOWN!! I don't think I've ever been this emotionally involved in a game.

I've been a fan of the ME series since the first game launched. I followed the brouhaha over the ME3 ending closely when it first came out and was rather put off by the fan reactions to it (I liked the ending but do think it could have been paced better) and didn't like how fans of the game were acting so entitled and kept calling for the game's makers to change the ending to better meet the audience's expectations of how it "should" have ended.

That said, I love the indoctrination theory. The very idea that a game developer might have a complete ending in place just to fool the audience and later release the true ending would have been amazing. Getting the audience to debate amongst themselves over the validity of choices Shepard makes at the end and, in a sense, causing the player to face indoctrination as they are the ones actually making the final choice is absolutely brilliant. Too brilliant. So brilliant that I didn't, and still don't believe this was Bioware's intent. There are some interesting coincidences but looking at the production notes, it doesn't seem that this was ever planned to work that way. Indeed, the extended cut of the ending didn't really change anything it just fleshed out some of the missing story post-Reapers which would have been their chance to make the big reveal and validate the indoctrination theory.

However, now that we know Mass Effect 4 is coming, there is still a chance. It would be a gigantic retcon. They risk ruining the original trilogy by eliminating the ending. But I do think it would be possible to pull it off well and that it would be hilarious and worth seeing whether or not they managed to execute it properly. They likely won't and will just have some Deus Ex Machina (Lazarus Project anyone?) manage to save Shepard who then has to face some new galactic threat, but I would absolutely love to see them incorporate the favorite fan theory and put an entirely new spin on their previous game with the release of the new one.

I do believe they said that Shepard won't be in ME4. No one really knows what they're doing with it. Possibly something with the First Contact War, when humans first discovered the Mass Relays and battled with the Turians. There's been speculation that the Protheans will be involved, though I doubt it since they already played that card with ME3 DLC.

More likely we'll get some stupid spin-off where you play as a Spectre cleaning up crime, doing escort missions and the like. Then we'll have to wait another few years until the real ME4 comes out. We'll just have to see.

ME2 didn't advance the story anywhere, and only introduced a hole in it.
it all revolved around how Repears take the form of the Organic life they were created from. with the grand finale of battling a half-done human Repear.
so how come there is only one form of Repears?
for the fussy among you, the ME3 codex states there are 3 forms of Repears, but they are just different size, to have something similar to a Cruiser, Destroyer and Frigate.
but it also states there were many many cycles. All of the life forms up until now had the same shape?

the original ME3 ending left a lot of questions unanswered. like were that catalyst/child came from in the first place.
the extended cut is what it should of been.

Anybody interested in some Multiplayer? I've been using my Talon Mercenary (Engineer Class) who basically uses his Omni-crossbow to do armor piercing and concussive shots. Paired with my N7 Crusader Shotgun with a choke (I can mailslot a Guardian even when he's not in range) he's pretty powerful.
