Anybody up for playing some DayZ or COD 1 in about 21 hours?

How about they freaking release DayZ Standalone already Devs have gone silent

I prefer it that way than releasing it before it's actually done (Battlefield 4$).

Dean went silent for a while there around september and october, but he's back on reddit and twitter again, posting some nice information.



It's kind of funny how people complains that they haven't released the standalone yet, since if they would release the alpher right now with bugs and overall unstability, people would rage even more. They look at this video for example, and complain about stuff like sounds that haven't been changed, which is obviously only placeholders for now since they have priorities for other, more important stuff. The fact that Dean had to add a 30 second disclaimer just to make sure people understand, which they still didn't (people complained that it didn't look like any progression at all), is really annoying.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining or anything...hence the smileys at the end. It's not like I don't have anything to do and I just sit and wait for a game to come out, so I go and rage about it. It's just my wishful thinking that it would be nice if the game was a finished product by now. If its not...its not! Big deal. I guess that's the good side of being an independent studio...you don't have executives breathing down your neck.

But this little video is pretty good update!!
